"I love the Korg Pandora for its size and functionality. It allows me to focus in on my playing with a variety of tones and effects anywhere the road might take me, and with tools like metronomes, jam along loops, recording ability, and USB editing, this thing is unstoppable."

This little Pandora is a radical device.

It's strength is in its size & portability, great sound and versatility.

I practice through it almost every day.

As a rehearsal tool, I'm finding it indispensable for warming up, learning new songs and just jamming on the go.

The bass tones are fantastic and even inspiring. The compressor is what really sells it for me. I can set up the perfect feel for what ever I'm working on.

At first I thought I'd use it just to warm up with the but more I dig into it the more I'm finding it useful for creating riffs and outlining ideas. The onboard phrase sampler is great for all kinds of things like setting up a bed to solo over and working on tough parts by slowing them down and playing along.

“All I can say is WOW! The PX5D is absolutely the best practicing tool I've ever heard.”

“The older blue model sounded great in hotel rooms, but I was still using an old POD for writing at home and listening through my studio speakers. Not anymore. The PX5D sounds way more like a real amp and also has better picking dynamics. I found four cabinet models that I really like, which is great because on any other device like this the most I've ever found is one. Just about all the amp models are useful to me through these four cabinet models, and that's a lot of sounds!”

“I also like the improved delays and reverb. Actually it's a big improvement, because now with the clear delay I can use delay only which is what I do live. On the PX4, all the delays were "vintage" sounding and needed reverb with them.”

“I put the PX5D through the real test - I A/B'd it with my favorite amp, my Suhr SH100 which is sort of a plexi Marshall clone, and my favorite pedal, the Maxon VOP-9. I blown away by how close the PX5D came to the real thing. It's really amazing.”

“The Sound Editor for it is great, and totally intuitive and easy to use. I've always found that sound librarians are way more complicated than the devices they support, but not true with this one. Within minutes I was editing on the computer and saving patches to the Pandora. Really nice interface too.”

“Congratulations to everyone at Toneworks for creating the ultimate portable practice tool!”

"The wealth of sound is great and it's all in one compact unit. I was able to get rid of four pieces of gear by getting the Pandora PX5D! I just have my Pandora and my MP3 player and I'm good to go."

“For recording, the PX5D works great with other applications like Garage Band etc...by giving you a much wider range of sounds than you'd have otherwise.”

“For live performance, the PX5D gives you access to many different tones and backing tracks which are very fun to play over.”

“For practice, I use the phrase trainer to record my favorite licks, slow them down at pitch, and learn them at a comfortable tempo. This helps to absorb the lick in a healthy way. I'll then do variations of the lick to one of the many pre-programmed rhythms. It's a quick, effective way to develop your playing.”

“I've also been using it to develop ideas for studio recording sessions. With eighty seconds of memory, I can loop a section of a song and play over it until I have a part I like. I can then record myself playing the idea to the rhythm track to listen back and try harmonies or other complimentary parts.”

“On a recent recording session, I set up my own separate station in the back of the control room with my laptop, additional guitar and PX5D. While the engineer was editing, loading the next song or taking a break, I'd be reviewing and developing ideas with the PX5D. When it was time to track, I was much better prepared. “

"I haven't had much of a chance to use the PX5D for recording since we just released our new record April 1. I do however use the PX5D everyday for practicing and warming up before the shows. I have no doubt that it will end up on future records, but for now I'm wearing out the metronome features for daily practicing. Being able to go up to 240bpms is really cool as well. Nice to be able to really burn every once in a while. I also use a lot of the prerecorded beats and bass lines for working on improvising. I like to throw it into some weird key that I'm not close to being tuned to and forcing myself to find a way to play in the key of the bass line. it makes you think outside of the box and adapt to your immediate surroundings. All things considered it is an incredible training and recording tool. It's small, it sounds amazing and when you don't have a band to jam with, it is the perfect backup band on the fly."
